Blame, free choice starts only when we know we need to change and have the method to change ourselves!
Opinion from the Internet on Human nature, the religious concept of “sin”, freedom of choice:
“I am often slow to catch on, but it struck me some time ago that your perspective, at least as I feel it, is a variation of the Christian concept of a sinner who needs to correct his relationship to god. Having been an evangelical for some years I have experienced something similar.
However, there are also fundamental differences and an iPad is not the best way to explore them. And just as I do with my Christian family and friends, I wish you success. Of course with Lucifer himself attempting, with the help of hood-.winked evangelicals, to upset everything and everyone, all bets are off.
Most distressingly he reveals the corruption (as well as virtue) at America’s core while approaching the death total of our two bombings in Japan. I mention this because with so many broken pieces of America there will be opportunities for reshaping the whole culture. Unfortunately, besides the virus we are at a very critical stage in global warming. My own assessment, having spent considerable time studying the issue is that we have passed the point where we have any options left and another “virus” will be added to the mix. It is distressing beyond my ability to find the right words. As one commentator put it, there is no longer a rock bottom.”
I can see why you would detect the concept of “sin” in my writings.
But in the scientific method I am studying there is no such concept. The concept of “sin, evil” doesn't make sense when one has no free choice.
We are all born with an inherently self-serving, self-justifying, subjective nature, that forces us to develop, succeed and survive at each other's expense.
So nobody can be blamed for who they are, what they do by default.
Free choice and any concept of “reward and punishment” starts only when we already recognized, accepted what desires, intentions drive us, and that we know for certain that this way we cause harm to others. Moreover we also need to have a practical method that could help us change and become different in relation to others and the world.
Only then can we blame one, who could change oneself but doesn't.
Most people we see around the world, regardless of whether we it others think they are good or bad, they are still acting blindly, instinctively, following their originally installed program. And while we might identify “devils” or “angels” from our own egocentric, subjective point of view, it is just the theatre, movie we are watching right now, where everybody are passive, hapless supporting actors.
If we want to obtain a true perception of reality, a true picture of the world, true freedom of choice, where we can actually influence, change things, we have to recognize who we are, accept that our initial “software” needs an upgrade, and then when at least a critical mass (10–20% of given population) start doing that, we will see that solutions to such daunting problems as global climate change, socioeconomic collapse, pandemics, etc.
This is why we need to approach the matter in a clear, methodical, scientific manner, constantly comparing ourselves, our nature, behavior to the absolute, unchanging laws of Nature.
