Arguing, disagreeing constructively

Question from the Internet:

“Should society be able to have a disagreement without division or backlash?”

Disagreements, constant questions, arguments, debates are the engine of growth, development.

At the moment - best characterized by political debates - we argue in order to convince, subdue, defeat, humiliate each other, to prove we are better, higher, smarter, stronger than anybody else. And we teach this to our children and even in our families this is how we argue.

This is self-destructive as we can very clearly see, especially in the fully integrated, interdependent world we evolved into.

We need to learn how to have disagreements, arguments, debates and even competition in a positive, constructive manner towards collective, highly important goals, purposes that can elevate is above everything that separates us.

We can use the unique tools of workshops, round table discussions to build new composite opinions, solutions none of us has by oneself, where we all put our own unique part, viewpoint, talent into that single, all-encompassing, composite truth.
