Achieving true freedom
Question from the Internet:
“Do you think we are living in a free society?”
I think we already know — it is another matter that we do not like to admit — that we do not live in a free society, regardless of who we are and where we live.
Even the “most democratic and free” nations are totally manipulated, we are 100% controlled, brainwashed by the environment around us with its incessant media, entertainment, marketing influence, we are told what to wear, how to move, how to talk, what to say and not say, who to support an elect, what is in fashion and what is not.
We live in a self-made Matrix that was built by the inherently selfish, egotistic, exploitative nature that drives all of us, we are all trapped into this Matrix regardless of playing our part in the “elite” or in the “masses”.
This Matrix has different flavors, variations according to our culture, nationality, religion, philosophy but the bottom line is: none of us are free.
And we cannot be free unless we liberate ourselves from the only tyrant we need to escape from: our own self-serving, self-justifying, subjective egos that lock us into this miserable, self-destructive world.
And we have the actual, purposeful, and practical method to achieve such a seemingly “supernatural” (above inherent nature) feat, learning how to exist, sense, taste reality through the desires, needs, and viewpoints of others, completely forgetting about ourselves in a unique, mutually integrated and mutually complementing way of life.
Then we will become infinitely free, capable of existing, acting above and against the ego’s control, sensing a completely different, unbounded existence when we don’t have to think, worry about ourselves any longer.
