Absolute Freedom

Question from the Internet:

“What is freedom? Is there a truly free human in human history?”

This is a very important question for our times with great relevance for the future.

I think that most people would accept that we developed into a globally integrated and fully interdependent world. Even if we do not constantly feel this mutual interdependence, we can see from the news and from all world events how everything is interconnected and how much even “local” events have vast repercussions all around the world.

This global integration and interdependence is not something human beings have developed.

We are born from nature’s fully and seamlessly integrated system, where each element performs a very specific and predetermined role for the sake of the general balance and homeostasis that life depends on. We are still integral parts of this system, and we evolve together with the system.

It is one thing that we sense ourselves as separate and independent individuals who dream about and fight for individual freedom and freedom of choice. But the actual “natural reality” is that we are all but individual cells of the same Human living organism, which Human organism is also a fully integrated part of nature.

But we are not “enslaved” by this mutual integration. If we accepted and used our mutual integration in the right and “natural” way, we would have abilities and opportunities we can’t even dream about at present.

Our actual “freedom” is actually restricted and denied by our sense of individualism. Our true freedom is lacking because we still perceive the world through a very limited and distorted, 100% egocentric and subjective point of view. We are “enslaved” by our own egos that drive us against others and everything that surrounds us, the human ego that drives us towards excessive overconsumption and success at the expense of others and nature.

Instead of becoming “well-oiled” cogwheels that turn together with all other cogwheels operating the whole system most optimally, instead of being healthy cells that serve the whole body, due to the operations of our egos, we are rusty and misplaced cogwheels that want to turn in the opposite direction to others all the time; we are like cancer cells that consume and destroy everything.

Thus, the actual “freedom” we need, and which “freedom” would vastly change our life experience and future prospects, would be the liberation from the sole control of our inherent egos that lock us into ourselves and make us the enemy of one another and nature.

We can actually and practically learn and practice how to develop a viewpoint and consciousness that becomes independent of the 100% self-serving, self-justifying, and individualistic ego. We can mutually create such interconnections and unity where each individual starts existing and perceiving reality through the thoughts, desires, needs, and viewpoints of others while completely forgetting about ourselves.

Then, instead of the constantly arguing, conflicting, and warring human society we exist in, instead of constantly stumbling through wars and crisis situations while destroying others and ourselves, we could build a nature-like, finely balanced, and mutually integrated human society that becomes able to create and nurture life like nature does.

Without the constant obstruction of our egos, we could form such a life-facilitating network where everything flows through everybody, and as a result, everybody would receive exactly what they need, like existing within the “mother’s womb.”

Moreover, just like the cells of our own body, through this mutual integration, we could also give birth to an unprecedented collective Human consciousness and intellect we could all access and use. Moreover, our perception of reality would expand beyond our wildest dreams since we could also access everybody’s viewpoint and personal understanding of the world, giving us perfect and fully objective attainment of reality, as reality truly is.

Finally, since we will be experiencing and sensing reality through others instead of perceiving it through our own limited faculties, we will also rise above and beyond our inherently egocentric and subjective limitations of time and space.

This means that tangibly and practically, we will sense life beyond the limitations of physical life or death since our life will not be tied to our biological body any longer; our “consciousness will “transcend” our personal limitations since we will experience existence through others as a result of our selfless and unconditional service and contribution to others and the whole system.

And there is no greater freedom than this!
