A very different way of looking after the “poor” — when we all become poor…

“What should 'relief' for the poor really look like?”

We will need to approach this question very differently from now on - regardless of what we thought, what opinions we had before.

The majority of the people all around will become unemployed as a result of the evolving socio-economic crisis, which will wipe out most of the excessive, non-essential production, consumption that comprises most of the present economy.

This is inevitable as we don’t exist isolated in our Human bubble where we can do whatever we want.

We are integral parts of Nature’s fully integrated, interdependent system, that creates, sustains life, drives optimal development based on a general balance and homeostasis that is governed by “iron laws” that are binding for us as well.

And now we reached a level in our Human activities where Nature’s system can’t tolerate the Human system any longer. So it doesn’t matter what manipulations, tricks we will try, everything that is not connected to natural necessities within available resources will collapse.

So the “poor” will become most of the people all around the world. And “relief” for the poor will become the most important issue in every society.

And this will require a complete rebuild, after a complete rethink of our priorities, values, goals.

While in the short term UBI will become necessary, on the long term we will need to introduce constructive activities in return for regular salary, that are not about material production, consumption. After all Human life is not about accumulating material possessions, wealth, power over others.

Human life is sensed, experienced through the mutual interconnections, relationships we build with each other.

So besides securing the natural necessities for all - which a small minority can easily secure with the necessary technology - most people will be involved in activities that are about building, maintaining and strengthening the mutually responsible, mutually complementing Human interconnections Human life depends on, is about.

Connection building, ”networking” will become the most important, most respected professions from now on! And not according to political ideology, religion, philosophy, but according to Nature’s laws we can’t ignore any longer.

Then we won’t have to worry about “relief” for the poor, as nobody will feel themselves poor in the new, “truly Human” societies.
