A society without a positive, overall purpose is lifeless

Question from the Internet:

“Do you think values determines behavior in a society?”

A Human being is the product of one’s environment.

How the environment shapes the person depends on the values, aspirations of that environment.

But all of this is determined, defined by the overall purpose of that environment.

Our general, global environment we all live in right now has no overall purpose at all. It is aimlessly revolving around empty consumerism, accumulating physical, material goods, pleasures, zeros in bank accounts, and we measure everything, even Human beings according to that.

And since we have no actual purpose to pull us forward we are in a total crisis, sinking into different problems to which we have no solutions at all.

Without collectively finding a positive, constructive purpose we can all aim at, work towards, unite around - above and despite all our differences, individuality, distrust - we have no future.

And we don’t even have to invent a purpose for ourselves, since Nature’s evolution already signed one to us: to become Nature’s only conscious, intelligent, partnering observers, witnesses. And we can achieve that by making Human society similar to Nature’s fully integrated system that lives in balance, homeostasis, within the optimal parameters of natural necessities and available resources.

This is not science fiction, religion, mysticism or New Age spirituality, neither is it political ideology. We are obliged to follow Nature’s laws of integration and to align ourselves - Humanity as a single species - with Nature’s evolutionary direction towards full integration.
